Kelly, Gerard F.
Gerard Francis Kelley, a resident of Westwood for the past 14 years, and formerly of Quincy and Jamaica Plain, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at his home in Westwood. He was 68. Jerry was born June 19, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Irish immigrants Joseph Patrick and Mary (Burke) Kelly. He grew up in Mission Hill, served in the US Army as a Private during the Vietnam War, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston Campus with a Bachelor’s degree in History. Jerry worked as an accountant for the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston and the Sheraton Hotels until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of the American Legion in Westwood and the Cadillac-LaSalle Club of New England. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Marion (Milner) Kelly; his three sisters, Mary Paras of Norwood, Anne Sullivan of Lexington, and Irene Kelly of Norwood; and his two brothers, John Kelly of Waltham, and Robert Kelly of Stamford, CT. he was the brother of the late Eugene Kelly. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 26th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street (Route 109), Westwood. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9 AM and proceed to St. Margaret Mary’s Church, 845 High Street, Westwood for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10 ‘o clock . Interment will follow in New Westwood Cemetery.
