Kolf, Claire M.
Claire M. (Collum) Kolf, a resident of Dedham, passed away on September 6, 2013 at the age of 84. She was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Roger D. and Catherine V. (O’Toole) Collum. Mrs. Kolf was the beloved wife of the late John P. Kolf. She was a member of the Dedham Senior Citizens and enjoyed many trips with the group. As an avid bingo player, she loved to go to Foxwoods. Knitting and crocheting were also her favorite past times. She was a devoted grandmother and being with family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her 4 children; Gregory W. Kolf, and his wife Aimee, of Norton, Donna M. Rams, and her husband Paul, of Cape Coral, Florida, Claire L. O’Neil, and her husband William, of Medfield and Kathleen Carell, and her husband Michael, of Needham. She was also the half-sister of John Kelly and sister of the late Mary Theresa O’Neill. Mrs. Kolf was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren; Daniel J. Rams and his wife Keri, Jay O’Neil, Stephanie O’Neil, Jonathan Carell, Jack Kolf and Brian Kolf, and 2 great grandchildren; Logan and Blake Rams. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at 9 AM and proceed to St. Anne’s Church, West Milton Street, Readville for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 ‘o clock. Interment will follow in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 89 South St., Suite 406, Boston, MA 02111.

Aunt Claire was a very sweet woman. So glad we got to see her in June. Take comfort in knowing she is at peace and with her husband and sister, who I know she missed very much.
