Butler, Florence
Florence Elizabeth Butler, a resident of West Roxbury for the past 40 years, and formerly of Dedham, died Thursday, February 12th, 2009 at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. She was 86. Florence was born and raised in Dedham, a daughter of the late Joseph Arthur and Mary Hannah (Missler) Butler. She was a graduate of Dedham High School. Florence enjoyed craft work and sports, and she was an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived by her two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Clark, and Ruth D. Aitchison, both of West Roxbury, and was the loving aunt of Robin Clark of West Roxbury, Pamela Dluzneiski of Stoughton, Glenn Clark of Boston, John Aitchison of Florida, Pat Sexton of Auburn, and the late Kim Connor Clark and the late Thomas Aitchison. She is also survived by many loving grandnieces and grandnephews. Visiting hours will be held Monday, Feb 16, from 4-8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St, Dedham. Florence’s funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
