Dad, Thanks for carrying little me when I was too sleepy to walk up to bed and when we were headed home off of East beach and the sand was burning hot. Thanks for helping me when grown up me needed a little cash for fun, friends, and business ventures. Thanks for holding my hand as I exited the limo at my wedding and in your last days. Thanks for manning the punch bowl and being a support for the pyramid . Thanks for being a Granddad my kids adored. You were unfailingly kind, generous, agreeable, and sweet, fun, and silly. This sweetie will miss you terribly but all the great memories will sustain me. When you didn’t get a prompt response to a question you would ask,”yes, no, or indifferent”. About you I will never be indifferent.

    Dear Sousa, Olivia and Nathaniel,

Our thoughts are with you, losing your father, your grandfather… it is just so difficult to imagine, and yet… there we are, the end of an era. Not knowing your father, we feel as if we knew him, having heard some wonderful tales from Sousa… a true renaissance man.
Love, Edmund, Dorcas, Ben, Carolena, Eamon, and Ronan.

I am sorry to learn of Bob’s passing. He was an old fiend from Lee Higginson days, when the securities business was still fun. He taught me a lot and I will always remember him fondly.
