Brown, James E. “Jimmy”
James E. “Jimmy” Brown, a resident of Millis for 6 years and formerly Dedham for over 50 years, died Monday, January 7, 2013, after a long illness, at Medway Country Manor. He was 67 years old. Jimmy was born in Boston. He was the son of the late William P. and Gladys G. (Dow) Brown. Jimmy graduated from Dedham High School. He was a custodian for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years and worked in the Dedham Post Office. Jimmy was a Library Trustee and Town Meeting member in Dedham. He was a former Grand Knight of the Dedham Knights of Columbus and a member of the Norwood Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his sister Patricia A. Ralph of Dedham, and his brothers William P. Brown Jr. of Millis, John H. Brown of Dedham, Robert F. Brown of Dedham, and Paul L. Brown of Foxboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lillian Krug. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents of Medway Country Manor. Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family for a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11 O’clock at St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham followed by burial in Brookdale Cemtery, Dedham. Donations in Jimmy’s memory may be made to the Medway Country Manor Resident Activity Fund, 115 Holliston St., Medway, MA. 02053.
