Blumbergs, Velta
Velta Blumbergs, a resident of Brockton for many years, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Southeast Rehabilitation Home of Easton, after a long illness. She was 89 years old. Velta was born in Riga, Latvia. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Zelma (Putnergle) Blumbergs. She is survived by her cousins Edgar Berzins of North Attleboro and Mara Christie of Ottawa, Canada. Velta was an accomplished Pianist and had a passion for classical music. She loved to play the piano and taught private lessons for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11 am at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham. Burial will be in the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.
