DiRusso, Constance
Constance Mary DiRusso, a longtime resident of Hyde Park, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Milton Healthcare Facility in Milton, Massachusetts. She was 97. Constance was born December 14, 1914 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one of the four children of Raymond and Josephine Mary (Cafferalla) DiRusso. She graduated from Hyde Park High School and worked at Cutten and Betney during World War Two. She later worked as a nurse’s aide in the home healthcare field for fifteen years. Constance was a talented seamstress who enjoyed reading and making artificial flower arrangements. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader. Constance was the sister of the late Francis “Sam” DiRusso and the late Mary DiRusso. She is survived by her brother, Dominic J. DiRusso of Dedham; and nieces and nephews Donald DiRusso of Hyde Park, Linda Pappas of Las Vegas, Nevada, Carl DiRusso of Framingham, Robert DiRusso of Dedham and Joellen Binder of Alexandria, Virginia; as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, September 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Forest Hills. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 380 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 would be appreciated.
