Mallios, Anastasios
Anastasios D. Mallios, a resident of Brookline, Massachusetts, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home in Brookline after a brief illness. He was 67. Anastasios was born April 14, 1947 in Athens, Greece, one of the three children of Demetrios and Stavroula (Papakosea) Mallios. He was the owner and operator of the Village Pizza House in Brookline. He is survived by his wife Christine (Mallios) Mallios; his two sons, James A. Mallios of Chestnut Hills, and Stavros A. Mallios, and his wife Elizabeth, of Dedham; his sister, Elizabeth Balaouras of Winthrop; and his four grandchildren, Anastasia, Christina, Lexi, and Stavroula. Anastasios was the brother of the late Michael Mallios. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9 AM and proceed to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Avenue, Roslindale for his funeral service at 10 o clock. Burial will follow at the Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery on Baker Street in West Roxbury.
