Meklis, John
John Meklis, a resident of Dedham, died on May 3, 2012 at the age of 57. He was born in Skortsinos, Arkadias, Greece to the late Konstatinos and Konstantina (Tsinonis) Meklis. At the age of 11 he moved to the United States with his parents and two siblings. John liked to spend his days enjoying all the pleasures of life with family and friends. He had a passion for fishing and was often seen on Cape Cod fishing with his friends. He also had a love of gardening and on a nice day you would find him outside landscaping his home and tending to his garden. Road trips to the casino was another enjoyment of his, sharing good times and laughs with friends. He is survived by his beloved companion Erifili Poutahidis, his sister Maria Bouzianis and her husband Spyro of Dedham and sister-in-law Toula Meklis. He was also the loving uncle of Jim, Charles and Peter Bouzianis and Konstantina and Angela Meklis. He was predeceased by his brother Angelo Meklis. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 9 AM from the Folsom Funeral Home, 63 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale followed by a funeral at 10 AM at St. Nectarios Church, 39 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, MA 02131. He will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Boston. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 7 from 5 to 8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to St. Nectarios Church at the address listed above.
