I asked God to spare me pain. God said “No”, suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

    Dear Eunice, Steve, and Kristin,

I’m so very sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I have very fond memories of our time together on the Cape, at Glenbrook and Sebago lake. Ed was an incredible person who was always willing to lend a hand and open his heart. When I think of Ed it is his charming personality and smile that springs forth. My family always talks fondly about our days together in westwood with all the Hansens. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Sincerely,

I,too, have many great childhood memories of our families together. We hope you know that our most sincere thoughts are with you. Dear Mrs. Hansen, Steve, Kristin, and your families,
You may not remember me, but I was a good friend of Karen’s through our days at Martha Jones and Westwood High. I remember visiting your house in Westwood and seeing Mr. Hansen. He was always so kind, always smiling, enjoying his time with his dogs and his family. I think I may have even gone camping once with your family – I know Karen went at least once with mine. I still think fondly of the time I spent with Karen growing up, playing games at your house, dancing at her wedding, seeing her at the reunion, meeting her children. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. Mr. Hansen’s and Karen’s spirits live on and they will not be forgotten.
