Hoffman, Ellen
Ellen Hoffman, a long time resident of Norwood died on March 5, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Boston to the late R. Earl Hoffman and Marguerite E. (Stripp). Miss Hoffman was a graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1943. She worked for the Mason Neilan Company as a secretary for 25 years. An active member of the First Congregational Church of Norwood for 60 years, she sang in the choir, was part of Friendly Service, served on their boards and committees and was with the Shuttlers. She was also there at the beginning of Norwoods Meals on Wheels. She is survived by many loving cousins. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Norwood, 100 Winter St., Norwood, MA 02062. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Norwood Memorial Fund at the address listed above.
