Altobello, Charles P.
Charles Paul Altobello Sr., a lifelong resident of Dedham, died suddenly Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston. He was 79. Charles was born December 30, 1931 in Dedham, the son of Anthony and Lucy (Etzdorf) Altobello. He graduated from Dedham High School and attended Wentworth University in Boston. Charles worked for Esselt Meto Company of Randolph, a paper manufacturing company. He retired about 20 years ago. Charles enjoyed woodworking and coaching baseball with the Dedham Little League. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 18 of Dedham. Mr. Altobello is survived by his wife, Audrey Mae (Bovaird); his son, Charles P. Altobello, Jr., and his wife Kinberley, of Plainville, MA; his daughter, Jean McCarthy, and her husband Peter, of West Roxbury; four grandchildren, Kaelynn and Eric Altobello, and Brian and Jack McCarthy; and his two sisters, Lois Garrels of Norwood, and Bertha Hertzberg of Wareham. He was the brother of the late Harold Altobello. Visiting hours will be held Monday, December 19th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 950 East Street, Dedham followed by burial with military honors in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Altobello Passing. I will always have fond memories of him from childhood; Wednesday night dinners at the Altobello’s and sitting with me when I fell off my bike and broke my arm. my prayers and thoughts to you Mrs Altobello, Jean and Chuck.
