Flores, Diogenes C.
Diogenes C. Flores, a resident of Dedham, died on November 13, 2011 at the age of 78. Born in Sampaloc, Manila Philippines, he was the son of the late Emmanuel Flores and Consuelo (Concepcion). Mr. Flores was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College and received his degree in teaching. During his life in the Philippines he taught elementary school. He was married to the late Anicia (Reyes) and together they raised 5 children. His family describes him as a very religious person who enjoyed reading his bible daily, liked to watch Philippine television, tell jokes and make funny faces (he had a great sense of humor), garden and fully enjoyed his family. He was a loving person and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his children, Diogenes Flores, Jr. of the Philippines, Johannes Flores of Port Richey, Florida, Liza Nuestro of West Roxbury, Angelita Bautista of the Philippines and the late Elizabeth Flores. He was the brother of Mario, Totoy, Virginia and Perla Flores, all of the Philippines. Mr. Flores is also survived by 10 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:30AM from the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30AM at St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury. Interment will be in the Philippines. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4 to 8PM.
