Healy, Helen C.
Helen Celeste (Carey) Healy, a resident of Hyannis for the past five years, and formerly a resident of West Roxbury and Dedham, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton. She was 75. Helen was born December 1, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of Patrick and Nora (Shea) Carey. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Brookline and worked as an administrative assistant at the Rogerson House in Jamaica Plain for seven years until her retirement in 1994. Helen enjoyed stepdancing and was a member of the Irish Social Club. Helen was the beloved wife of Lawrence J. Healy and the dear mother of Thomas P. Healy of Roslindale, Lawrence J. Healy of West Roxbury, John M. Healy of Dedham, Nora J. Dwyer of Carver, Mary E. Malinn of Dedham, Kathleen M. Twyman of Uxbridge and Laura M. Scace of Dedham. She was the devoted grandmother of 12 lucky grandchildren and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at 8 am Tuesday and proceed to St. Anne’s Church, 82 West Milton Street, Readville for her Mass of Christian Burial at 9 o clock. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dedham Educational Foundation, 100 Whiting Avenue, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.

So sorry to hear from Rob Mazzocca that Helen passed away. I remember her fondly, her fun-loving nature, her Irish stepdancing, from back in the late ’50’s, early 60’s.
