McWhirk, Josephine
Josephine V. (Peterson) McWhirk, a resident of West Roxbury for the past 35 years, but a “Southie” girl at heart, died Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at Avery Manor Nursing Home in Needham after a long illness. She was 90. Josephine was the wife of the late Robert E. McWhirk and the mother of the late Joanne M. McWhirk. She is survived by her son, Robert E. McWhirk of Dedham, 2 grandsons, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visititation with her family will be held from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham followed by her funeral service in the funeral home at 11 o clock. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations to the Friends of the Dedham Public Library, 43 Church Street, Dedham, MA 02026 would be appreciated.

Bobby and Family so sorry to hear of Josephine’s passing. I have many found memories of you and your family. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of Joanne. I rember going around Christmas with every1, goin 2 see u & u would only let me & the little kids sit around you in pictures..I rember being a tomboy all those years, but you always said a tomboy or not every girl needs her dollys…& i got 1 eveyyears & still & wil forver have the last 1 you gave 2 me…
Jenn & Katie always told me, they wished i was around with all the Auntie & how i would benifit form all of you..We’ll i only had you & i did benifut fine for what i know…I know the last time i saw you i was still the little tomboy we all though would i would never let go of..We’ll now i can tell u and as u can see from your heavenly spot above us in the stars, i am not dressing like a tomboy anymore, but will forever be at hearts….
