Parker, Anne Marie
Anne Marie (Hanst) Parker, a resident of Westwood for over 25 years, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at her home in Westwod after a long illness. She was 59. Anne was born November 23, 1951 in Berkeley, California, a daughter of Philip Lincoln and Anne Constance (Doerman) Hanst. She graduated from Simmons College and the University of Rhode Island where she earned her Master’s degree in Library Science. Anne was a children’s librarian at the Boston Public Library for ten years, and she retired in 2002 after ten years at the Milton Public Library. Anne is survived by her husband, Dale Jeffrey Parker; her son, Evan P. Parker of Allston; her daughter, Anna J.C. Parker of Waltham; two brothers, Andrew Hanst and Stephan Hanst, both of California; three sisters, Margaret Allard, Sarah Braman, and Katherine Chase, all of North Carolina; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Christ Episcopal Church, 1132 Highland Avenue, Needham. In lieu of flowers donations to the Huntingtons Disease Foundation would be appreciated.
