Flynn, Loretta E.
Loretta Ellen (Ryan) Flynn, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 66. Loretta was the daughter of the late Peter J. & Mary L. (Bishop) Ryan. She was born and raised in Boston and graduated from Monsignor Ryan High School and Newbury College. She was a travel agent for nearly 20 years, initially at Dedham Travel and then the Quill Travel Agency. Loretta was a member of the International Association of Travel Agents, an active member of St. Mary’s Parish Social Committee as well as a supporter of the Lifeteen Program in its infancy and beyond. She was a dedicated supporter of the LIFT Ministry, and a longtime Bingo “fan”. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John J. Flynn of Dedham; her children Heather M. Flynn of Dedham, Jennifer C. Flynn and her husband Richard Yieh of Roslindale, Sean J. and his wife Patricia Flynn of Dedham and Keira A. Flynn-Carson and her husband Jesse of Roslindale; as well as her grandchildren, Fiona, Aine, and Shayla Flynn and Awyn Carson. She is also survived by her brothers Philip R. Ryan of Plymouth, Kevin M. Ryan of Marshfield and Richard R. Ryan of Walpole; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was the sister of the late John F. Ryan. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10 am and proceed to St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham for her Mass of Christian burial at 11 O’clock. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Donations in Loretta’s memory may be made to LIFT Ministries, PO Box 72, Westwood, MA. 02090 or St. Mary’s Church, 420 High Street, Dedham, MA 02026.

So sorry we missed Loretta,s servics at Folsom Funeral Home. Frank Lavelle left a message on our phone which we
noticed this morning July 1st.
Assuming that the message was left today (July 1st)we went to Folsom Funeral Home at 3:00pm only to find out that we were a day late. Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss.

To the Flynn Family, I have been away and was not able to make Loretta’s service. I knew her through the Thursday night Bingo at Dedham High School and always had a nice chat with her. My prayers are with you all. Edie Belanger
