Folsom Funeral Service

Peter Nino Alborghetti, a resident of Dedham for over 50 years, and also of Mashpee, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Glover Hospital in Needham.  Peter was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, a son of Peter and Cherubina (Fontana) Alborghetti.  He graduated from Somerville High School and earned a degree in engineering and a degree in business from Northeastern University after serving his country in the US Navy on the USS Anzio as an Aviation Machinist Mate Third Class during World War Two.  Peter worked for over 30 years as a self employed contractor specializing in cabinetry and finish carpentry.  He was an active member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood where he served as an usher, as a member of the property committee, and as  a host of many coffee hours.  Peter loved cooking and was known for his church dinners and for his delicious homemade soup.  Peter is survived by his wife, Sara “Sally” M. (Ferguson) Alborghetti; his two sons, David Alborghetti, and his girlfriend Cheryl Caron, of Randolph, and Stephen P. Alborghetti, and his wife Marie, of Pelham, New Hampshire; his two daughters, Susan K. Alborghetti of Roslindale, and Paula D. Alborghetti of Dedham; his sister, Rita Botti of Palo Alto, California; and his twin grandsons, Peter and Nicholas Alborghetti of Pelham, New Hampshire.  He was the brother of the late John Alborghetti.  Visiting hours will be held Sunday, June 19th from 4 to 8 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton Street, Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday at 10 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 24 Berwick Street, Norwood followed by burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.  Donations to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210 or to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 24 Berwick Street, Norwood, MA 02062 would be appreciated.
