McGeown, Paul
Paul Vincent McGeown, a resident of Dedham for the past two years, and formerly of Jamaica Plain, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home in Dedham. He was 63. Paul was born July 17, 1947 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the only son of Irish immigrants Philip J. and Catherine A. (Harron) McGeown. He grew up in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School with the Class of 1965. He went on to earn his associates degree from the University of Massachusetts. Paul retired three years ago from his career as an electrical parts salesman for GTE and for the Ralph Pill Company. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole M. Mourkakos, and her husband John, of Hyde Park; his two sons, Sean M. McGeown, and his wife Casey, of Norton, and Philip J. McGeown of Framingham, and his fiance Lori; his sister Frances Daley, and her husband Brian of Uxbridge; and his former wife, Catherine A. (MacInnes). Paul was the brother of the late Rosemarie McGeown, the late Kathleen Lewis, and the late Patricia Pastore. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 14th from 3-7 PM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 MIlton St., Dedham. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA -1701 would be appreciated.
