As neighbors for most of those 50 years in Roslindale, we have missed her presence when poor health required her to live elsewhere. She loved her family heritage, her son, her home and yard and all the dogs, each named “Trina”. We hope her “new neighbors” in Heaven appreciate her friendship.
I grew up in Roslindale on the street where Mrs. Allen lived. I will fondly remember her quick attention to the neighborhood children and the endless games played on the street in front of her house!
As kids we dressed up one year in spirit of 76 costumes complete with flags and drums. Mrs Allen took our picture and got it published in the Parkway Transcript. My brother and sisters were “big news” that week
