Boudrot, Richard
Richard C. Boudrot, a resident of Dedham, died on Sept.2 surrounded by his family. He was 78. Mr. Boudrot was born in Newton and was the son of the late Edward S. and Frances M. (Wassung). A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Air Force. He then went on to become an elementary teacher. He taught for over 30 years in Dedham at the Riverdale School and Dedham Middle School. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 18 and the VFW ,Post 2017. He often liked to reminisce about the Air Force and his time spent as a radio operator in Korea. He fondly spoke of being a member of the Bully Beef Squadron.
He enjoyed growing his tomatoes, traveling, spending time at his cottage in Wareham and canoeing. He loved his pets, particularly his dogs, “Terry” and “Topaz”. His greatest joy were his “3 girls”: His beloved wife Lorraine M. (Aker), Susan of Duxbury and Pamela of Los Angeles, CA. He was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Edward and Thomas Boudrot. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9AM at St. Susanna’s Parish, 262 Needham St., Dedham. The burial will be private. Visiting hours will be at St. Susanna’s Parish on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 So. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
Pam,
We are sorry for your family’s loss. He was one of Andy’s most memorable and favorite teachers. We will see you some time this week. Our prayers are with you.
I remember Mr.B as a patient teacher. His low key way of presenting material made learning easy. His smile when students came up with right answers would light up his entire face.
The world is diminished by his passing.
My Deepest Sympathy, you are all in my thoughts. Steven
We’re sure right there with you all in spirit – thinking about you every day – Mike, Garry, Patti, Alicia, Matt, Alex, Jameson, Jeff
Aunt Lorraine, Susan & Pammy,

We are reaching out from Kansas, thinking of you with prayers & love. I’m hoping to get there to be with you all. Much love!
You have been a such a great neighbor over the years. Your family is in our prayers. You will be missed. The Stapleton Family.
I have very fond memories of Mr. Boudrot – whether it would be in Dedham, Wareham or camping. He was always such a “patient” man……especially since he was always out numbered with the amount of females coming in and out all the time.
He is now at peace and is not suffering anymore. God Bless the Boudrot family. You are all in my prayers.
Sue, Kevin and MaryKate
We had some good trips together.
Dick and I were on the same aircrew in Japan.
When I started teaching at Riverdale School in 1996, Dick and I were the only male teachers, and we became friends as well as team members. I respected him in both capacities. I met his wife on many occasions, and I visited his home when one of his daughters was an infant. Teachers and students will miss him, but they will not forget him.

I haven’t seen Dick in many many years, but I have talked to him a few times in the last couple of years. I remember him always having a easy smile and a kind word. We shared many times together as flight crew members of the Bully Beef Sq. in Japan. I wish all his family well and God bless. Marv Albers Lodi, California
