Such wonderful memories of a beautiful lady!
God bless you Mrs. Lloyd …
Mrs Lloyd was a most wonderful Christian lady who meant so much to my family. We have fond memories from the time I was a little girl. She was a tutor for my brother,Stanley,
in his high school years, and later took him under her wing when he returned to the church. She was a good friend to my mother Arline. The last time I saw her, Emma told me that a suit that she made Emma, was still in use after 50 years. She held a shower for my sister Shirley when sister decided to marry quickly to go off with her Air Force man. And so many times she helped me with many programs and receptions at Central Baptist Church.
Barbara,Edith and David, I know that her “Home coming” will be celebrated in heaven. My most sincere sympathies for you and you families.

My best to all Emma’s family. I always loved her and saw her as a mentor, friend and was happy to meet her in town after she moved. David and Barbara, I enjoyed working with both of you at the Westerly Library and know what a loving family you were to each other and to your mom.
I share your sorrow because your mom was a very special person who loved everyone she met and was interested in every aspect of each person she met.

“Absent from her body, she’s now present with the Lord.”
Mrs. Emma Lloyd invited and then welcomed our family to Central Baptist Church in Westerly RI, some twenty years ago. Over the intervening years, Mrs. Lloyd was a gracious woman who demonstrated caring involvement with the details of our lives as part of this larger Christian community. How grateful we are for Mrs. Lloyd’s involvement in our family life! We share our sorrow at her passing, but rejoice that she’s now present with the Lord.

Mrs. Lloyd was very good friends with my Grandmother, Helen Smith while she lived in Westerly. I have fond memories of her attending birthday parties and other celebrations while I was growing up. She was always kind, and her interest in her friend’s family was warm and genuine.
My sincerest sympathy to all her family and friends.
