Lois, Bill called to let me know that Rip had died. I believe I know how you must feel and I also know that there are no words that make the loss of your best friend easier for you. Rip was a great guy who seemed to enjoy life and the people around him. I enjoyed working with him and spending time with you both in Aruba. Some day in the future you and I should get together to toast Rip and Peggy. They were great people and I loved them both.

    Love, Dick Simons

    Dear Lois,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Rip was, without question, the nicest person I had ever worked for at Sheraton and was truly a pleasure to work with.
I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to know you and Rip, and I still appreciate the kindness and support you both offered me.
    Sincerely,
    Cheryl Whalen
