Johnson, Edmund “Len”

Edmund Leonard “Len” Johnson, Jr. a resident of Nashua, NH, and a former resident of Norwood, passed away at his home on August 16, 2023. He was 86 years old.

Len had a love for MG cars, and has owned and collected many of them in his lifetime. He was a long time active member of the New England MG “T” Register, and had served as the Awards Chairman and on the Board of Directors throughout the years. He had also earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Indiana Institute of Technology, and was a veteran of the US Navy.

Len was the husband of the late Wendy Johnson, and was the brother of the late Lawrence Johnson and Richard Johnson. He is survived by his loving sister, Elsa M. Johnson, of Mansfield, and his 5 beloved nieces and nephews; Mark Johnson, Nicole Gonsalves, Kim Piecewicz, Keith Johnson, and Craig Johnson. A special ‘thank you’ to Len’s caregiver, Rachel DiMartino, for her years of loyalty and friendship.   

Visitation for Len will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 5-8PM at the Folsom & May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St, Norwood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at the United Church of Norwood, 595 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062 on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 11AM. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.     Looking at Len’s picture brought back many wonderful memories of being with him over the years.
    I offer my sympathy and love to Elsa and all of his extended family.

    Len was our next-door neighbor for many years. He was a good friend and a true gentleman. We will miss him. Our deepest sympathies to his family and to Rachel, Len’s close friend and care-giver.

    I had the good fortune of working with Len (and coincidentally also with his wife Wendy) back in the 1980s. He was always an affable guy and a pleasure to work with. My deepest cndolences to his family and friends.
