Robillard, Lawrence “Larry”
Lawrence Joseph Robillard (Larry) passed away peacefully at home in Boston on July 14, 2023, at the age of 77. Larry leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Vivian Robillard, his son Scott and his husband Julio Cesar, his son Chris and his wife Caitlin, and his two precious granddaughters, Scarlett and Nina. He is also survived by his nieces, Sharon and Kathleen, nephews, Mark and Michael, and sister-in-law, Asta Robillard. Larry is predeceased by his sister, Mary Charlotte Kenney and her husband Stephen Kenney of Wallingford, CT, and brother, Donald Robillard of Plymouth, MA. He will be deeply missed but will live forever in our hearts.
Larry lived a rich life – always placing his family first, and cherishing the time he was able to spend with close friends. Larry was born and raised in Cambridge, MA and loved sports from an early age. He was a lifelong Boston fan and enjoyed college football as well. Larry loved to travel and shared this hobby with his family – together they visited many destinations within the US and abroad.
Larry had a successful career of over 30 years with Stop and Shop – as Vice President / Controller.
What brought Larry the most joy was his granddaughters Scarlett and Nina – to whom he was known as “Poppy”. He never missed either of their birthday parties or school events, was the family’s expert at hide-and-seek, and was so grateful to be able to play such an active part in their lives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 8:30-10:30am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St., Westwood before proceeding to St. Margaret Mary’s Church, 845 High St., Westwood, for his Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment to follow at New Westwood Cemetery.
Larry passed away due to complications from Parkinson’s disease, following a long battle with the illness. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Michael J Fox foundation for Parkinson’s research (michaeljfox.org).
