Linda A. (Wickman) Anderson of Braintree MA, formerly of Salem NH and Norwood MA, passed away peacefully on May 10. Devoted wife of 54 years to Gerald Anderson who predeceased Linda in 2022. Brother of William Wickman and his wife Louise of Norwood MA, and Charles Wickman and his wife Rosemary of Southborough MA. Also survived her nieces and nephews; Erik Wickman & spouse Michele of Ridgefield, CT; Brett Wickman & spouse Victoria of Staten Island, NY; Kaitlyn Cummings & spouse Daniel of Holliston, MA; Kristina Moonan & spouse Michael of Southborough, MA; and Jillian Robillard & spouse Brad of Southborough, MA, as well as great nieces and nephews . Linda’s warm and infectious personality will be sorely missed by her family, as well as many friends in southern New Hampshire and eastern Massachusetts. She grew up in Roslindale, and attended St Mary’s of Brookline High School, and then completed her bachelor’s degree in accounting at Northeastern University. As an accountant and financial advisor at John Hancock, she earned numerous accolades and awards during her exceptional 40 year tenure. She was also spotlighted as the model employee in a monthly Hancock publication for her immeasurable contributions to the company in 1990. Personally, no one could light up a room like Linda.  She was beyond generous and philanthropic, volunteering her time as a church treasurer, community beach coordinator, and transportation provider for Dana Farber and Mass General Hospital patients. Linda also loved to travel with family, and especially cherished family events with her many godchildren, nieces and nephews.   

Visitation with Linda’s family will be held Monday, may 15, 2023 from 9 to 10 am at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High Street, Westwood followed by a Funeral Mass at St Denis Church, 157 Washington Street (Route 1A) Westwood at 10:30 am. Burial will be at the Gardens of Gethsemane, Baker Street, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
