Katie loved her family, her friends and her job at Lifeworks. When she was no longer able to work, the Lifeworks residential staff took exceptional care of her. We (Katie’s family) would like to thank the Chatham House staff who cared for Katie during the last year. It was very comforting to know that she was being cared for 24/7 by people who loved her. She was always so clean and smelled good. Her hair was soft and shiny no matter when we went to see her. The staff was always happy and even sang while they worked around the house.
When I arrived at the hospital on Wednesday and she did not look well, I noticed her sweet little pink fingernails. One of the staff had given her a manicure. Thank you all for being there with her every day when we could not. You are all heroes. ❤️
Katie was such a big part of Pat and I’s life along with our daughter’s lives growing up together. The love ❤️ along with the many wonderful and funny memories shared together will keep Katie close to our hearts. ❤️ She was amazing, strong, opinionated like her dad, fighting for her rights when working at the workshop, that I used to call her Norma Rae! Loved Tina Turner & Michael Jackson music but we would all need ear muffs when she sang. Katie I will miss you with all my heart, but I know you will now be in your Mom & Daddy’s loving arms again. RIP!
Dear Pat, Chris and Family,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful sister. May you find peace with all your wonderful memories together.
Sincerely,
Maureen & Ron Cook
Katie was a very special person, a great worker and very determined individual. I feel honored to have known her and worked with her for over 20 years at Lifeworks. She will be missed! My condolences to all the family and all the staff at Chatham who cared so well for her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Katie was a Sweetheart. Loved seeing her and chatting.
I hired Katie nearly 20 years ago at JJWild. She worked hard every day and always happy to help. One day Katie came to work and our West Coast Sales Director was temporarily using her desk space. It did not go well for that guy. May God Bless You Katie Buckley, RIP.
My wonderful cousin Katie! She was the highlight of my yearly trips to Massachusetts. Always up for and adventure and more than happy to get into mischief with me. Her spunk, joie de vivre and kindness radiated from her. I gave my eldest daughter her name in hopes that she would be as amazing as Katie and her Mom. XO
I was Katie’s job coach/case manager for a number of years at Lifeworks. Katie was a joy to work with. Even when she was upset with someone she never lost her sense of humor. I remember visiting her after I retired from full-time work at Lifeworks. She was never at a loss for words and when she saw me walk through the door she said, “well, it’s about time.” Rest in peace Katie.
Katie was a wonderful person. She was friendly and had a great sense of humor. She was a true friend and I miss her.Rest in peace.
I have not seen Katie for many years but I have great memories of she and I swimming for hours on end in Uncle Chick and Aunt Betty’s pool.
She was an amazing young lady.
Thanks for the wonderful memories.
