Carol Ann (Dimock) Lucas, of Roslindale, passed away on September 24, 2022 at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale. She was 85. Carol was born in Boston on August 14, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Clarence M. Dimock and Helen E. Dimock. She grew up between an apartment in Roslindale with Ruthie and Bow and the Wild Rose Farm in Andover, where her parents and her sister, Donna, lived. She met the love of her life, Walther, when they were introduced by friends. Carol and Walther joined the Roslindale Congregational Church and became foundational members of the church, leading the youth group, serving on committees, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and always going wherever she was needed.

Carol loved to go camping with her family, and was a lifelong avid bird watcher. She was known to drop whatever she was doing in order to go get her binoculars. She also loved to sing, and would truly live up to her name throughout the year, but especially so on Christmas morning when she would wake up all three floors of sleepy family members with Christmas carols.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Walther A. Lucas, and was the loving mother of Scott Lucas, and his wife Bridget, of Roslindale, and Alyson Lucas of RI. Carol was the proud grandmother of David, Fiona, and Jacob, and the dear sister of Donna Dimock of Hudson.  She was also survived by her nieces Beth, Mindy, and Cori, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn. Visitation for Carol will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 10-11AM at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., DEDHAM, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 11AM.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s name can be made to the Roslindale Congregational Church, 25 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA, 02131.
