So sorry to hear of Richard’s passing. He was such a nice man, always a smile for everyone he met at Emmanuel. And he showed pure joy during the sign of the peace. Peace be with you, Richard.

Lou,
I’m very sorry to hear about Richard’s passing. I know that this will leave a big emptiness in your heart. I’m always here should you want to talk. May God bless Richard and your entire family.
Tony
I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Richard was my best friend back in church. He is at home now and pain free. We have a new angel watching over us. RIP my friend
I was so sorry to learn of Richard’s passing. Like so many others, I can see his sweet smile and remember what pride he took in robing and serving as a crucifer in so many processions at Emmanuel. Before Pastor Saling retired, I remember him telling our congregation, “If you want to grow our church then you need to invite your friends and neighbors.” By the next Sunday, Richard had done just that. He filled up a pew with his good friends…David, Mark, Ricky, and Katie who came on many Sundays finding a warm welcome. He truly was an ambassador for Emmanuel and he will be missed by all. Much love and sympathy to Louis and Helene.
I don’t know you I’m so sorry to hear about your son passing He is now resting in peace may god be with you and your family you are all in my prays always remember the good times you had with him
I just learned of Richard’s passing. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the Bier family and friends. I knew Richard for many years, most recently as one of our famous Lifeworks Norwood Sunday Bowlers. He was a great team member, always a gentleman with a smile that could light up a room. My sister, Laura Schmatzler, knew him very well through Lifeworks, and also the visits he would make to Chatham house to see his sweetie Mary H. Interesting that he was proudly involved in the German Aid Society, as Laura is a proud member of the Boylston Schul Verein. The sweetest of souls, I am sure that he has already received his angel wings. Rest in peace dear. Richard. And to his family – a job superbly done. Many blessings.
