Kachele, Michael
Michael Paul Kachele, formerly of Dedham and Norwood, died Friday, September 2, 2022 of a fentanyl overdose. He was 42. Michael struggled most of his adult life with mental illness which resulted in addiction and homelessness. It is important to his loved ones that people know that, despite his challenges, Michael was a beautiful soul who was cherished. He was the most adorable little boy with bright blue eyes and an impish, electric smile.He was funny. He was fun. He grew up playing soccer and baseball. He was a loving son and a fiercely loyal brother and protector of his older sister Julie, who has special needs and loved her brother so much. In addition to his mother, Donna Duley, and his sister, Michael is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Kachele, and his grandparents, Frank and Anna Harrison, and Paul and Marie Kachele, all formerly of Dedham. The family will hold a private celebration of his life at a later date. Donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118 or at www.pinestreetinn.org
To the Kachele Family::
I was a neighbor of The Rachel’s in Riverdale a long time ago.
My heart goes out to your family. Addiction is a horrible disease. I know, my family also lost a beautiful member due to addiction.
I ask God to give you all the strength to get through the days ahead. God Bless You All.

Although I did not know your son. Addiction runs in my family. I am truly sorry for his passing and hope he has found peace.
