Hardt, Rebecca A.
Rebecca Abigail Hardt, a resident of Westwood for many years, died unexpectedly August 23, 2022 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham. She was 46. Rebecca was born March 29, 1976 in Lexington, Kentucky, a daughter of David and Emelie Ruth (Hubbard) O’Brien. She earned her Master’s Degree from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts and worked as an Administrator for uniQure, a pharmaceutical and biogenesis firm in Lexington, MA. Rebecca enjoyed playing basketball, gardening and caring for her dogs and cats. She is survived by her partner, Christopher Stevens Kelly; her son, Colin Best of Westwood; and her sister, Sallianne Burgess, and her partner Brian Conlin, of South Caroline. She was a cherished cousin, aunt, and niece. Rebecca’s joy, positivity, and humor won the hearts of everyone she met. She was unfailingly kind and will be missed by all who knew her. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 2 to 6 pm at the Folsom Funeral Home, 649 High St, Westwood followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 6 pm. Interment will be private.
My deepest sympathy to Rebecca’s family.
Rebecca brought so much joy to the uniQure office since the day she started. I had the privilege to meet her on her first day for orientation. I knew right away she was a great person. Once we got to talk more I realized she was actually awesome. She brought a new light and much joy to the office. I know I am not the only one that will miss her. May she rest in peace and love.
For my Sweet Friend, Rebecca
You left us too soon
You were always smiling
You stood tall and beautiful
You were a true friend
You understood my soul
You were MY friend
I’m in shock
I am numb
I shall forever Miss you
Thank you for being so Kind
So Generous
Thank you for coming into my life
May the Angels look after you
Say hi to my sister too !!!!!!!!
Love
Nidhi
