It was my pleasure to know the charming Ms. Joanna and share some good times. Whether it be at dance fundraisers, friendly card games, lobster feasts or a trip to a casino, I always appreciated having some laughs with Joanna and enjoyed her company.
My condolences to my dear friends, Mia and Anna and all of Joanna’s loved ones.
You will be missed so much. You were the most transparent person I have ever known. For better or worse. My life is so much better because you were in it. You and your girls are my strength and my soul. Thank you with all my heart for all you have given me. Thank you.
Mia, I can’t even imagine what you’re going through with this loss. Losing someone so special can be overwhelming, I am sending love and prayers to you and your family.
Mrs Alvarado was my hero! Walked me to kindergarten everyday!, probably being late for her own job! Remember thinking to myself, wow what a strong beautiful woman: had a house, raised three lovely women by herself!!! Gloria, Mia, and especially Anna, all who made the best impressions on me! Am proud to have known all the Alvarado’s. May Joanna be resting in peace knowing she made this world a better place! God Bless
Loved your Mom. Remembering the good times going to your house in Dumont. Thoughts and prayers are with all three of you.
Mia, Anna, Gloria and Family, My apologies for the late post. I just heard of your mom’s passing. So sorry for your loss. Joanna was my greeting committee when I moved to Roslindale and my joy! She was a trooper and persevered to keep moving and always had a positive attitude and appreciative for all the little joys in life. You ladies were her angels and gave her the best care to remain at home. She treasured each one of you! I loved seeing the joyful little encounters with Joanna and Ms. B. They were the epitome of graceful aging. My condolences to everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. RIP my friend and thank you for bringing joy and making this world a welcoming and better place. Her spirit lives on in my heart. Peace Michele
