Sending our deepest sympathies to the entire Mellen Family! Mr. Mellen was the kindest and most caring man I think I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He had a quick wit & great sense of humor. I first met him at St. John’s Preschool while we waited together for the kids to be walked out school. I’d be waiting for my daughter and he would be waiting for his granddaughter. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he has touched. Such a sad loss, keeping his family in our thoughts & prayers!
Love,
The Dello Iacono Family

We are so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. Jim was the best neighbor any one could ask for. We will miss gardening together but we will always cherish the beautful memories we shared over the many years. You will be missed for sure our friend.

We are very sorry for the loss of your husband and father. Jim was the best neighbor, always super friendly. I remember when we moved in back in 1977, he was so welcoming and had lots of good advice for these two young kids that just moved in. So we have been neighbors for 45 years ( we referred to Jim as the “mayor” because he knew just about everyone in town and beyond) and we will miss him greatly, the neighborhood will remember him fondly for a very long time to come.

I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your husband, and your father, but my four daughters and sons-in laws did, and all who knew him say he was a kind and caring man; it shows in the caring and good people you and he raised together.
Cherish all the memories of your wonderful husband and father. When the pain eases the memories stay forever and you will smile with every thought of him.
May God comfort you.
Micki Hein
