Van Ryzin, Paul D., Jr.
Paul D. “Danny” Van Ryzin, Jr. , a longtime resident of Dedham, passed away on November 24, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Paul, Sr. and Dorothy (Milliard) Van Ryzin. Danny graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1962 then went on to the Franklin Institute and obtained an Associates degree. Working for General Electric, he was an electronic technician until he retired. He was a veteran of the US Navy, honorably discharged in March of 1968. Danny was the beloved husband of Ursula (Tousignant) and brother of Charles J. Van Ryzin of Tewksbury, Dorothy A. Van Ryzin of North Reading and Christina Marcus of Ossining, New York. He was predeceased by his brothers William, Joseph and James. He is also survived by his nephews; Bryan, Alexander and Jacob Van Ryzin and niece Marissa Van Ryzin. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 30 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham followed by a funeral mass at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church, 420 High St., Dedham. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Ursula, in the loss of her beloved husband. I always wanted to contact Paul “Danny” about his parents, and if he ever got the chance to meet his paternal grandfather in Minnesota, but never did. I now regret it.
