Brown, Richard
Richard “Richie” Brown passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in the early hours on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Richie loved riding his motorcycle and sports cars. Richie was a music lover, and liked to sing along , especially to classic rock. He was originally from Belmont, MA and was a long term resident of Walpole, MA with his wife Michele. Richie spent many years as an accounting clerk for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He is survived by a son by his late wife Kathrynn (Swords) Brown, Jaimie Swords, as well as his wife Michele (Hill) Brown and her children Matthew Neal, his wife Julie (Kennedy) Neal, Gabby Neal and grandchildren Trystin, Jonathan and Ian Neal. Richie is also survived by his siblings Frederick Brown, Barbara MacKenzie, Deborah Danforth, Irene Hewitt, along with many nieces and nephews. Richie was a passionate and compassionate man. He took genuine interest in the people around him and loved life. He would offer words of encouragement to those in need and found it easier to find the good in someone else than himself. He always had a big smile on his face and distinctive laugh. He will be missed by his beloved family and friends. His absence is already being felt by all near to him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at noon at May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood. A private interment will be held at a late date.
